General
The Jaguar Bass MN from Fender's Player series takes elements from their classic bass models to make an elegant, modern-looking, offset solid-body bass with a versatile PJ pickup configuration. This version has a san-gloss finished pau ferro fretboard and high-gloss maple neck. The Player Jaguar bass is equipped with a J-style single-coil passive pickup at the bridge for a full, growling Jazz bass sound, while the passive split single-coil in the middle gives you the clear sound of a Precision. Both pickups have Alnico 5 magnets.
Jaguar Bass PF: versatile and comfortable
Thanks to a volume control for each pickup you can choose which one you want to hear or go with a combination of both. You can also tweak the sound by using the tone control giving you plenty of versatility. In terms of playing comfort, Fender has given the Player Jaguar bass a slightly flatter 9.5-inch fretboard radius and the neck has a modern C profile. This Jaguar's powerful sound and punch is ideal for genres like rock, pop and alternative.
