General

The 5-string D3C-5 is part of the Ortega Deep Series for good reason. The mahogany neck is fitted to a laminated dao-wood body, finished in a smooth-feeling high-gloss finish with a striking XII inlay at the 12th fret. This long-scale bass has a so-called Florentine cutaway ending in a satisfyingly sharp point while the bright sound of the ready-to-play fitted D’Addario strings is amplified by an integrated Fishman Isys+ preamp that not only offers a built-in tuner and volume and tone controls, but an ever-useful phase pot that filters out any unwanted feedback. The D3C-5 also comes with its very own gig bag.
