Ortega's D538-4 is an electro-acoustic bass guitar from the Deep Series 5. It has a spruce top with mahogany back and sides that combine to produce a deep, warm sound with just the right amount of brightness so that each note can be clearly heard. While the D538-4 has a great acoustic sound, it also sounds great when it's plugged into an amplifier thanks to the built-in MagnusPro-NL preamplifier that has volume and phase controls as well as a 3-band EQ. The medium 32-inch scale length offers a comfortable playing experience and there's even a 2-way truss rod should you need to make any adjustments to the neck.
