Ortega's D538-4 is an electro-acoustic bass guitar from the Deep Series 5. It has a spruce top with mahogany back and sides that combine to produce a deep, warm sound with just the right amount of brightness so that each note can be clearly heard. The open pore finish on the mahogany back and sides allows the wood to breathe which enhances both its feel and sound. What's more, this electro-acoustic bass guitar is attractively-priced too.

D538-4: great sounds

While the D538-4 has a great acoustic sound, it also sounds great when it's plugged into an amplifier thanks to the built-in MagnusPro-NL preamplifier that has volume and phase controls as well as a 3-band EQ. There's even a built-in tuner so that you can quickly and easily tune up before and after songs. The medium 32-inch scale length offers a comfortable playing experience and there's even a 2-way truss rod should you need to make any adjustments to the neck.
