Steven Slate Audio VSX Modeling Headphones - Essentials Edition

Ok everybody is enthusiastic about these headphones
are they good
yes they are they are
comfortable good quality sound with the software but just ok without the software nothing special
I put my DT 770 pro through same software very simular results these head phones are a third of the price of the VSX system
So basically the software does the work here
Which is what it was designed to do
So my impressions are very positive it’s a good experience same as everyone else is saying
good price and 30 day money back is great
So here are the negatives
connection lead to short and has lots of kinks in it
The software is temperamental
In DAW and standalone
In DAW the built in bypass does not completely bypass it still process sound on mixdown on HD linear
auto bypass does not work and my downmixes come out all wrong
Remove the plug-in and all is well
On standalone the software fight with my ASIO drivers from stienberg as I run everything through my montage m6 keyboard internal interface on USB lots of issues
And then there is the dreaded ilock system activation
So in conclusion
the sound and mix is much better and it on a budget the software does integrate well but has issues
Am I going to keep these not sure
The issue is recording engineer spend lot of money on speakers and headphones and then room correction
The have more speakers and headphones and are in a constraint loop of doubt
Do these headphones solve this
no not completely but they do address the issue and go a long way to solving this issue for a good price
So I would recommend these headphone but beware software a bit twitchy on some set up and add complication
