Austrian Audio Hi-X65 Studio Headphones

Ervaring was eerst een 4. Hij is nu net stuk gegaan uit het niets. Ik haalde hem van m'n hoofd en opeens had ik een geelte met nog een oor eraan in m'n hand. Geen garantie meer :-(

I was looking to replace my old open back AKG 701s. Saw these, did some online looking, claim is they are made by a team of former AKG engineers, thought I'd give them a chance. Man, these are truly excellent, also for the price. I was looking for low impedance, so I could listen to lossless streams. My ears are a mess in part from years of drumming in a previous life. Strangely even though I have some hearing loss my ears are extremely sensitive to sound quality. These headphones have a directness and clarity of sound, without sounding like they are pushing at you. Most of my listening is jazz. These headphones do justice to the lossless streams. Wear wise I was worried about the weight. They are a bit heavier feeling than my old 701s. And also a bit more closed (even thought they are open backed). I have been wearing them a lot, like a few hours at a time, and they don't get sweaty or feel clamped. I wear glasses too btw. The wear geometry has it so the headband is forward on your head, makes it not press on the top of your head. This is comfortable. I guess if you have the cash you could look at phones that cost twice or three times as much. But it's hard to believe for streamed hifi there's much better out there for the money.

Bax service is OK, maar levering (in België) na 2 dagen (dus niet 1 dag zoals op de website staat).
De HiX65 is top. Bruikbaar voor mixing en mastering. Wordt geleverd met 2 kabels van verschillende lengte. De jack aan de koptelefoon kan je inpluggen en vastklikken met een kwartdraai. Zijn geld meer dan waard.
