For PA applications where solid bass reproductions are required but enormous, expensive speakers are not an option, DAP Audio have designed the Mobile Road Series. This DRX-12 is a passive full-range speaker with an all-round user profile. It has a two-way design and contains a 12-inch woofer (with 2-inch voice coil) and a 1-inch compression driver with a dispersion of 50 x 50 degrees. The DRX-12 (8 ohms) has a continuous capacity of 150 watts and a peak capacity of 300 watts. Combine the DRX-12 with a matching amplifier and you can enjoy the impressive maximum sound pressure of 120 dB.

DAP DRX-12: housing and use

The housing of the DRX-12 is made of 12mm gauge plywood. Its black lacquer is scratchproof and can handle the hardships of mobile use. Thanks to the 35mm ABS stand flange, it isn't a problem to mount the DRX-12 on a distance rod or separate stand. With optional mounting eyelets, you can also use he speaker in a flown capacity. Handles at the sides allow for easy transport. Despite the solid construction, this 12-inch speaker weighs less than 15 kg. Multi-applicable and very sharply priced.
