QSC's K8.2 is an active speaker for demanding audio professionals. It has an 8-inch woofer and a 1.4-inch tweeter that together can deliver up to 2,000 Watts of power! This 2-way speaker features individual gain controls and a DSP processor that guarantees excellent quality and handles subtle dynamics with ease. There are built-in EQ presets including Live, Dance and Monitor that make it extremely easy to get the sound you're looking for. If you don't want to use the presets, you can create your own and save them for easy recall at a later time.
The QSC K8 2: A DSP Speaker with Advanced Design
On the back of the K8.2, you'll find a set of balanced XLR/TRS combo inputs. The first one can be switched between mic or line level input and the other can be set to either Hi-Z or line level. It's also possible to daisy chain the outgoing signal to another audio device. If you want to play music from an external audio source like a smartphone, you can use the mini TRS jack to do so. The K8.2 has a frequency response of 55 Hz to 20 kHz, a maximum SPL of 128 dB, and weighs just 12.2kg.

Prima qsc k2.2 boxen, ik heb er zelf 2 van gekocht, en een geweldig geluid , alleen zat er bij 1 box een kabel bij met een Engelse stekker, en toen ik vroeg om een kabel apart erbij te kopen kreeg ik als antwoord stuur alles maar retour , heel veel gedoe om een 220 kabel.

Twee van deze speakers gekocht en zeer tevreden mee. Voor 8" speakers vind ik ze verbazend veel basweergave hebben, zoveel zelfs dat ik de bas-frequenties iets terugdraai. De coverage van de k8.2 maakt ze ideaal voor kleinere zalen. Dat was voor mij de reden om voor de 8" en niet voor de 10" of de 12" te gaan omdat we met de band toch meestal in café's spelen. Afhankelijk van de muziekstijl heb je niet eens persé een sub nodig, hoewel het wel prettig is als je de bassen niet alleen wil horen maar ook voelen.
Het enige wat ik nog wel graag had gezien was de mogelijkheid om de verschillende ingangskanalen apart in te stellen, bv kanaal A voor handheld microfoon en kanaal B voor een line-signaal van de mengtafel met bv de live-setting.
