Characteristics of the Tascam VL-S5 active studio monitor

The VL-S5 is an active monitor, which means it has its own means of amplification. Both the 5.25-inch woofer and the 1-inch tweeter have their own amplifier (40 watts for the low frequencies, 30 watts for the high frequencies). The crossover point has been set at 3.2 kHz to prevent phase issues. As the monitor is magnetically shielded, you can place it next to your computer without any worries.
