General
Let's be honest, not so very long ago, Behringer wasn't a brand to be particularly proud of showing to your producer friends. That all changed quickly though, and the new NEKKST K8 studio monitor is proof that Behringer makes products to lust after. This nearfield monitor has been developed by the famous monitor designer and KRK CEO, Keith R. Klawitter. The most modern technology went into its making to provide it with excellent connectivity, DSP and audio technology.
Behringer NEKKST K8: powerful nearfield
You can count on the K8 to provide high-resolution audio for all your near-field applications. A 1-inch silk dome tweeter is supported by a sizeable 8-inch fibreglass woofer to produce bass and trebles with crystal clarity, and the sound is also assisted by the bass reflex port on the front. The bass reflex port also means you can place the K8 near a wall without being bothered by too many reflections. The tonal character of the speaker has been fully adjusted for listening to audio at a short distance, and thanks to the tireless dedication of KRK's CEO you can count on a pleasurable listening experience.
Connectivity and Bi-amping
The Nekkst series is equipped with tons of connection options. You have the choice of a balanced XLR connector or an unbalanced jack and RCA input. For optimal sound in every room, an advanced acoustic setting is also possible. No matter what settings you choose though, the composite enclosure ensures minimal low-frequency distortion. This K8 has two separate amplifiers on board - one for the high frequencies and one for the low, which results in a strict frequency separation to guarantee the most efficient control of both the woofer and the tweeter. Together, both amplifiers deliver an impressive 150 watts of power. All of these features combine to give you deep, tight bass tones with defined mids and sparkling highs.
