The Auratone C50A doesn't need to compete with eye-wateringly expensive high-end nearfields or midfields simply because ... well ... it's not a very good speaker. The idea is that a neutral monitor like this offers a realistic middle-ground by acknowledging the fact that a track that may sound hair-raising when played through a £100,000 studio setup doesn't necessarily sound as good through your car speakers. So, don't expect an audiophile's dream when you get yourself an Auratone C50A. However, the moment your mix sounds so good through this speaker you could cry, then you know it's ready.
