Suzuki presents three newly designed melodicas: the Pro-37 V3, the M-37C and the W-37, each honed for a different kind of musician. Whether you're in need of powerful sound, a high-quality student model or some stage-ready sonic warmth, this new range will include the right melodica.

The M-37C: Affordable & Reliable

The M-37C melodica keeps things versatile and has been specifically designed to serve as a teaching instrument, so can withstand daily use. The 37 keys have an F to F3 note range, giving players the span needed to play singable melodies. The metal housing has been coated in a stylish vinyl-style texture, while more practical features include a spring-loaded water key, so the melodica can be easily cleared out and kept healthy. A comfy handle has also been fitted on the base for improved playability and, to complete the pack, the W-37 Melodion comes with a mouthpiece, blow-tube and a bag.

The Pro-37 V3: More Control & Professional Sound

Taking a few steps up to a more professional level, the Pro-37 V3 Melodion offers musicians more control over their playing and more sound variation than the M-37C. This model also features 37 keys and the same note range, but what sets it apart is that the white keys have been finished in a cream-ivory colour, and the fact that the body has been made from extra-light and extra-resonant aluminium. The internal workings are just as deluxe, where phosphor bronze reeds support rich, variable and expressive sound that, when played softly has a similar timbre to woodwind and, when played with power sounds more like a brass instrument. Designed for live shows, the Pro-37 V3 even comes equipped with strap buttons so a strap can be attached to play standing up in comfort. Suzuki also throw in extra accessories, including an MP-141 mouthpiece, an L-shaped blow-tube and a professional gig bag.

The W-37: Top-Shelf Sound & Design

The W-37 is definitely the showpiece of the Suzuki Melodion range and wraps incredible sound up in irresistible aesthetics. The housing has been made from real mahogany wood, which gives this instrument its warm and natural, deep and rich tone. Even the keys have been carved from walnut and birch wood, which doesn't just look elegant, but support a luxurious playing feel. Just like the Pro-37 V3, this model also features phosphor bronze reeds so a more subtle or more powerful expressive range can be achieved - ideal for genres such as classical music and jazz. In 2017, the original W-37 won the prestigious Good Design Award and has been the professional musician's favourite ever since.
