The popularity of the Pill Series by Dr. Dre never seems to diminish. The Beats By Dre Pill XL WH is an extra large model - it's 33 centimetres but has kept a light weight. Because this is a portable speaker, you'd think it makes sense that it has such a limited weight but it's not always possible considering all the necessary components. But Dr. Dre has done it. This model has a sophisticated look, great for any kind of situation.
New in the Pill XL: Near Field Connection
The Pill XL now has many more features than the earlier/smaller Pill speakers. For instance, thanks to Near Field Connection (NFC), you can connect your smartphone to the speaker. Simply tap your phone to the speaker, and you have a wireless Bluetooth connection. NFC also works with multiple Pill XL speakers - just tap them together and they will play the same audio source. Tap them twice, one speaker will take on the left signal of the music, while the other one will play the right signal. If you place the two speakers at a distance from each other, you get a nice, wide stereo sound.
An energy Pill
Because you don't want to suddenly end up with an empty Pill XL, it features a battery indicator. The battery lasts 15 hours and automatically shuts down when the speaker hasn't been used for ten minutes. When the Pill XL still has enough energy left but your phone is almost dead, you can charge it with the Pill XL by means of Charge Out.
