General
The LD Systems MAUI 5 is a remarkably mobile column PA available in two colours: black and white. The entire system weighs a mere 11 kg but is capable of an 800W peak power output which, in addition to the maximum sound pressure level of 120 dB, makes for an impressive amount of sonic power. The MAUI 5 is driven by a class-D amplifier and packs a typical LD Systems sound: tight lows, a solid mid balance and clear, bright highs. If needed depending on the acoustics, 'Room Correction' mode lets you tweak the balance even further.
The MAUI 5: The Possibilities
For a system that wears such a small jacket, the LD Systems MAUI 5 offers a ton of possibilities. For starters, you can plug a large number of sources like keyboards, guitars or smartphones into the jack-XLR combo, jack and mini-jack inputs. These can all be used simultaneously in combination with the microphone input and the built-in Bluetooth receiver, so you can effortlessly stream and play along with your favourite music. Any audio adjustments can be simply done using the 4-band EQ and volume controls.
