If you're DJing with turntables and vinyl, you don't want your records to skip in the middle of a track due to vibrations. At Bax-shop, we have composed a set of two Pioneer PLX-1000 turntables combined with a pair of Freefloat shock absorbers, so you can rest easy behind your decks. As the Freefloats are inflatable, they'll always fit easily into your vinyl case or DJ bag. They also provide a nice colourful accent for your usually dark, black DJ booth.
Pioneer PLX-1000
Pioneer's PLX-1000 is meant for playing vinyl and timecode vinyl. The turntable lacks unnecessary bells and whistles, but has all the functionality and features you need to pleasantly spin your vinyl records. The layout of the PLX-1000 looks quite familiar, but the technological specifications are entirely up-to-date. Among other things, the turntable features a gold-plated stereo RCA output, a pitch range of +/-8%, +/-16% and +/-50%, an S-shaped tone arm for better tracking during scratching, and blue LEDs for easy rotation speed adjustments and overall lighting. The round start/stop button - which can also be found on Pioneer's CDJ players - is another nod to modern-day technology.
Freefloat
The brightly coloured Freefloat - an inflatable X-shaped cushion that supports your turntable - is an indispensable accessory for vinyl DJs. It absorbs shocks and provides overall stability; no wonder it's often found in clubs and at festivals. The Freefloat also isolates your turntable from the surface underneath, which enhances the lower frequencies and adds more dynamics to your sound. Using the Freefloat, you're able to really turn up the volume in your booth - there's no more need to worry about vibrations, after all.
