The first feature that hits is the shape. Ducking away from the classic, rectangular chunks of hardware that came before it, the OPUS-QUAD has a gracefully angled prow that couples with a sloping top plate and earth-coloured edging to bring the extra-style points. And what lies inside is just as impressive. A mass of new audio sources is supported, including WiFi and Bluetooth, and that's next to the inputs supplied for an array of USB gear as well as line and phono ports. Up to four decks can be played independently and even sent to different zones to support multi-room setups, while the Smart Cue function has been upgraded and the effects are easier to mould and shape than ever. The spacious 10.1 inch touchscreen has even been teamed up with a new joystick-controller, so browsing through your library is smoother, quicker and more accurate than ever before.
