Akai Professional Present MK2 Versions of Classics

jueves 29 septiembre 2022 por Kasper | Bax Music

AKAI Professional re-introduce two classic MIDI studio controllers as fully-upgraded, second-generation editions: enter the Akai Professional LPD8 MK2 drumpad controller and the LPK25 MK2 keyboard.

Premium Pad Performance

Take a look at the sides and the Performance Pads and you'll immediately notice the biggest differences between the LPD8 MK2 and its predecessor. The orange details have made way for a rainbow of colours that can be customised with the included software, while the sides are now completely red to offset the black finish of the controller. In addition, the LPD8 MK2 now features the same pads as Akai's MPC X flagship, so you're basically getting a more responsive feel as well as real-time feedback during your performance. On top of that, every button is programmable so you can take full control over your MIDI CC, plug-in effects or any other parameters.

Mini Keys, Major Performance

The LPK25 MK2 essentially gives you all you'd want out of a mini USB/MIDI keyboard. Compared to the original model, this refreshed keyboard comes with an extra four user presets as well as the expanded range of an extra octave, while the touch-sensitive keys and not-so-basic arpeggiator provide the tools needed for more creative solutions. This portable little MIDI keyboard sports a similar design as the LPD8 MK2, showing off stylish red sides that combine with a tight black finish. Team them up and both bits of kit form a complete, travel-ready MIDI set that can be effortlessly lugged around the world in a case or backpack along with your laptop.
