General
This Sennheiser EW 500-965 G3 promo pack consists of four wireless handheld microphone sets, and also includes an ASA 1 antenna splitter and NT 1-1 power supply. The mics from this set are of the EW 965 type, condenser microphones with a double diaphragm. This way, you can easily switch between a cardioid and a super-cardioid pickup pattern. They produce high-definition sound and are therefore suited for a variety of applications. By connecting the four separate receivers to the antenna splitter, you can use two antennas. Moreover, the receivers are powered by the ASA 1, so that you need only use one NT 1-1 adapter.
EW 500-965 wireless handheld microphone
Every vocal system out of the 500 G3 series is equipped with a capsule out of the successful Sennheiser Evolution 900 stage line, that is used on stage by many acts. This system uses the true condenser 965. The microphone is based on the Evolution E 965, a high-quality resonance and distortion-free microphone. As the mic features two diaphragms, you can easily switch between a cardioid and super-cardioid pickup pattern. This system also contains the EM 500 rack mount receiver that can be easily synchronised with the E 935 via the push of a button. The 500 G3 series is equipped with a frequency bank system of 32 frequencies, a solid, metal housing, an Ethernet connection with which you can connect Wireless Systems Manager (WSM) software for computer control, a user-friendly menu and an illuminated dot-matrix screen.
Please note: this is the A version! The only difference compared to the B version is its frequency range of 516 to 558 MHz, which is most commonly used in Belgium. Although both versions are functional, we recommend that you choose the A version for use in Belgium and the B version for use in the Netherlands. It is not possible to combine the A and the B version!
Sennheiser ASA 1 active antenna splitter and NT 1-1 power supply
The Sennheiser ASA 1 is an active antenna splitter, which allows you to connect multiple EW receivers to a single UHF antenna. It lets you split a signal without any signal loss, in a 2 x 1:4 or 1 x 1:8 matrix. Connected EW G3 receivers an (separately available) antenna boosters are powered via the BNC cable from the ASA1, so that you won't need an individual power supply for every device. An NT 1-1 AC adapter powers the Sennheiser ASA 1.
