Blackstar HT-20RH MkII tube guitar amp head

Since some situations demand a little more than 5 watts of power, Blackstar have added the 20-watt HT-20RH amp head to their HT MkII amplifier series. As you'd expect from the British amplifier manufacturing giants, it oozes quality and versatility. The control panel makes it easy to dial in different sounds, which may go some way to explain why Blackstar amps are used for such a wide range of music genres. If you need to record or connect to a PA, there's a USB port and a balanced output that both feature speaker simulation.

HT-20RH: sparkling and loose or punchy and aggressive

With this amp head, you have the choice of a clean or overdriven channel which can be toggled by using the footswitch that comes with it. Both channels have a voice button that can be pushed to change your sound from British to American. When using the clean channel, you can opt for the loose brilliance of the British or a tighter, more bass-rich, American sound. Moving into overdrive, you have the choice of punchy aggression from the US or the tasty crunch of the UK. All of this can, of course, be finely tuned with the ISF knob and there's studio-quality reverb on board too.
