The Ibanez SR5000-OL has been developed to produce a broad, multi-faceted tonal spectrum to fit comfortably in the hands of most if not all players. The velvet feel of the oiled Prestige solid-body finishes a highly modern instrument with sublime build quality, straight from hands of the Ibanez Master Builders in Japan. The enhanced quality is subtly hidden in details such as the wenge top and back and the oval mother-of-pearl and abalone position markers.

Ibanez SR5000-OL: Construction, Sound and Grace

At the heart of this Ibanez Soundgear bass is its solid mahogany body and bolted wenge and bubinga Atlas-4 HP neck. The 5-piece construction combined with the Graph Tech Black Tusq nut and solid KTS titanium truss-rod makes for a neck with staggering tuning stability. The foundation sound of the SR5000-OL is full with transparent low and mid-range accents. Both low, solid lines and high melodic licks are fast and supple to play due to the graceful, thin body and slim neck of this Ibanez bass.

Mono-Rail V, Bartolini and Ibanez Custom Electronics

The Ibanez SR5000 is mounted with a stable Mono-Rail V bridge to guarantee tuning and sustain alongside two passive Custom Bartolini soapbar pickups, each specially and individually designed for its position. The neck pickup provides depth while the bridge element takes care of definition. The volume, blend and 3-band EQ pots shape the broad spectrum of tones this bass is capable of while the EQ Bypass and Mid Frequency switches respectively flip to passive sound or add more mid-range punch.
