Blessed with a number of upgrades compared to its predecessor, this Candy Apple SR300EB from Ibanez now comes with PowerSpan pickups with exposed poles. Combined with a fresh Custom Electronics 3-band equaliser and a Power Tap 3-way switch, this bass provides more than enough tonal flexibility for any style. Tap Mode will give you punchy, defined single-coil sound while Series Mode activates a characteristically fat humbucker tone.

Fijne bas, die Ibanez SR300EB. Ik had al een hele mooie CORT A4 maar de hals en toets daarvan zijn net wat te breed voor mij als gitarist. De SR300 heeft een veel smallere toets en de hals is wat platter. Dat past mij beter. Hoewel de SR300 veel goedkoper is dan de Cort, is de klank redelijk vergelijkbaar. Wel wat minder sustain omdat de SR300 geen doorlopende hals heeft, zoals de Cort A4. Ik vind alleen de EQ van de SR300 wat beperkt maar daar valt mee te leven. Die van de Cort A4 is echter beter. Ook zijn de midden-klikjes van de pot-meters van de SR300 wat moeilijk te voelen bij de Sr300. Geen big deal. Kortom: fijne bas voor een mooie prijs. En de Candy Apple Red (metallic!) kleur is erg fraai!!!
