General

Part of the Ibanez Soundgear Gio Series, the GSR205SM five-string bass guitar brings the good looks, the great sound, the smooth playing comfort and a surprisingly lightweight build. The solid poplar body has been topped with spalted maple top, which doesn't just add flair, but completes the foundation sound with a prominent mids and excellent resonance. Two passive Dynamix H soapbar pickups deliver all of that to your amplifier via the active preamp, so the tone can be tweaked to perfection using the fitted volume controls for each pickup, the shared tone control and the PHAT-II EQ. If you're looking for your first five-string bass, this model is an excellent choice.
