From their Westerly Collection, Guild introduce their electro-acoustic shortscale in the form of the Jumbo Junior, complete with an upright-bass-style sound and a compact body. The 23.75-inch scale length makes this instrument a touch more comfortable and easier to handle than an upright and, if a fretless bass is not really your thing, then the 19 standard frets laid in the ebony fretboard might also be of some relief. This acoustic bass comes complete with its own luxury Guild gig bag and fitted with a set of nylon-core strings with phosphor bronze coated winding.

The Jumbo Junior Bass: High Dynamics

The deep tone produced by this Guild acoustic is shaped in part by the solid spruce top and filled out by the glued maple neck and flamed maple sides and back. This combination not only ensures depth but heaps of definition so that no playing dynamics are lost. As such, whether playing with fingers or a pick, every nuance will be faithfully projected. Meanwhile, the integrated Fishman Sonitone BT preamplifer and piëzo pickup deliver clear, full amplified sound and come with simple volume and tone control pots for accurate adjustments.
